Lewis & Clarke

Man Man的Russell Higbee负责竖琴和键盘的演奏，Rachel的Eve Miller负责大提琴. Lewis & Clarke emerged from rural Pennsylvania in the early 2000s as the slowcore side project of songwriter Lou Rogai. Rogai had already made a name for himself on the East Coast as a solo act, releasing the well-received Empty Throne EP on Quicklife Juncture in 2000. Lewis & Clarke found Rogai working with drummer Thomas Abrams and keyboardist Phillip Price, who had played with such Northeast groups as An Albatross and Bedford. After touring extensively as Lewis & Clarke, the combo committed its strummed lo-fi intimacy to wax with Bright Light (released through Delboy in Europe and Sun Sea Sky domestically). The album drew comparisons to such artists as Codeine, or the hushed literacy of Elliott Smith.
